hello beauties!♥
so sorry that i've been m.i.a. but so much has happened. i honestly don't even know where to begin.
to avoid a bunch of mumbo jumbo, and to get back into the swing of things, i bring to you a review!
people are really indecisive when it comes to dry shampoo. some think not washing your hair everyday is gross, while others don't mind a little refresher in between washes. from my personal and professional experience, i'm totally for it!
here's why:
- you're getting rid of the excess oil and they usually leave a light refreshing scent behind.
- it can add texture / volume.*
- you aren't stripping your (artificial) color / natural oils.**
- it's convenient!
* now let's not get crazy here, if you have really thick heavy hair you probably won't see much of the volume going on. those of you with fine / medium hair will most definitely see a difference.
** to all my colored cuties out there, dry shampoo will be your savior!! using a color safe shampoo on the day you do wash your hair + using this product in between washes will really make a difference in the fading of your color. how? well since you're not washing your hair as often, you're not stripping the color away.
4.6 fl oz // $14
1.9 fl oz // $7
- with a finger or a rat tail comb make a part and sprinkle some dry shampoo.
- continue taking 1 - 1 1/2in partings and sprinkling throughout your whole head. if you have any excess you can sprinkle it all over your head.
- take your fingers and massage it into your scalp and/or use a brush to brush it throughout your hair.
- you're ready to go about your business with fresh smelling hair!
- it has a very zesty smell, that's quite subtle and lovely in your hair.
- comes in powder form.
- gets rid of excess oils that just sit on your scalp.
- the easy to pour top makes it a breeze to control how much you want to use and a little goes a long way.
- works with all hair colors / types.
- blends in perfectly.
- it leaves a semi-matte finish.*
- the application of this might be a little messy. depends on the person.
- it leaves a semi-matte finish.*
* just depends on personal preference. some people make the mistake of assuming the product didn't blend out well. if you take the time to massage it into your scalp and/or brush it out, that shouldn't be the issue. that's just the finish.
i would have preferred the packaging to have a small sifter, i think it would make a huge difference in application. regardless, i will definitely be repurchasing!!
let me know in the comments below if you have tried this dry shampoo or any others and your thoughts on them.♥
